@shastab24 It was fine. I'd rather have people voice their opinions than not. And someone else would have said the same thing, although maybe far down the road and it would seem more embarrassing with an older page.

I'm sorry but I have a BA in English, so this sort of thing will bug me. It's LIE down, not LAY down. "Lie" is the present tense form of what you do yourself (ie: you lie down on the ground) with "lay" is the same tense for what you do to something else (ie: you lay the book down on the table--you can also say you lay YOURSELF down, because you're making your body the object that you're affecting; language has fun ambiguities). Of course, "lay" is also the past tense form of "lie", but that's the only time it fits the same category as "lie" (ie: he lay down for a few hours, but he's awake now). This error annoys me a lot and definitely makes Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" an absolute pain to hear.
