what could be worse... Plus a question concerning art

Yeah, I know this page looks messy and each panel is different, but i wanted to check something and need your opinion about it. I know my art is not at the highest level, and there are moments were the comic looks very crappy, so I wanted to improve it. On this page I tried two techniques, I didn't use before, so the first panel is made in the old style, whereas the second is made with whole sketched on paper with pencil and with a slight ‘help’ of pen, and the last one is made only in pen. Each of them scanned and coloured on computer. I would like to ask you, which technique seems to be the best and the most appropriate

What I like most is the story. It's very intriguing and powerful. I think personally I prefer the technique used on the last pic best.

I find that the more pen you use, the sharper it seems, so using pencil is probably good for backgrounds while pen would be good for foreground objects.
