Hybrid's an insult for anything that isn't a pure-breed. So anything that's half-something, half-anything else is a 'hybrid', but it's mostly an insulting term in this world.
Wow I loved the speed lines anyway when they were circuling the characters, but when they show the fast movement of the hand grabbing the bully's arm, they are just AMAZING! Inspired! Etc! XD The sleeve of the arm looks like Rudolph's... so he doesn't stand up for himself, but he does for Xiara? I wonder why? xD That's of course assuming it -is- Rudolph... but I can imagine the next page's first panel being of Rudolph standing there, looking all righteously-angry... so yeah... What am I talking about?! XD
