Aww poor Xiara looks so scared in the third panel.
I love how hard it is for Rudolph to speak after Xiara has seen his red eyes. It's a very believable approach to breaching an awkward silence. It -is- so hard to -will- yourself to bother to say something, and that conveys very well with the sheer volume of ellipseses in that panel, followed by a single sharp word.
