Huh. Looking at this strip four and a half years later, I've been considering doing tweaks to how I use Rachael these days to make her fit more of an auntie role. Interesting.

I think this might have been intended to be the shorts/rattatta kid, but I don't think I ever established.

Oh, god. I just realized this was still in my “Colored speech balloons to depict character voices” phase. And looking forward… yep. I guess that's a stylistic choice of this comic. That's good to remember.
