On a side note, I actually liked Obama's speech to the kids. I thought it was better than his to congress, which is too bad since the congressional one is the more important of the two.
Also, I also think it's hilarious that the leader of the free world tells children and adults in nationally televised speeches to “wash their hands” and “stay home when sick.”

Rush told me that Obama is a nazi, and he should know. As Americas number one facist, Rush can easily spot his own. It is like nazi gaydar.

You do have a point. I read Bill Clinton's biography and I remember him categorizing the fight against Gingrich and his cronies as a fight against the entrenched southern whites who had descended from the whites who supported Jim Crow, who had descended from the whites who supported slavery, etc, etc. It's interesting that I read this morning Clinton disagrees with Prez Carter on the Obama criticism stemming from racism.

That sort of thing is why the roots of the anti Obama movement are probably racist rather than political.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, it's a little strange to me that parents would BAR their children from listening rather than just simply contextualize it and explain why they don't like what he has to say. Remember the days when parents would explain things to their kids? By the way, your Princess and the Giant comic is gorgeous to look at.

Here in Seattle, some conservative school districts on the east side didn't let their kids watch the address because they thought it would be political. I guess they listened to Rush instead. :P
