It is a small world after all!!!
The N1H1 Flu (swine flu) is in Japan… almost 200 cases in or near Osaka. With the size of Japan, the amount of people and their impeccable transit system, it is only a matter of time before it hits Tokyo….
I'm not doing anything special, as far as preparation, I already wash my hands, gargle, disinfect my work area, and use alcohol wipes several times a day… hey, I work with kids, snot nosed, always coughing, sickly kids everyday… I'm ready for the swine flu!

Avie I know how you feel!!!
GR most roads here in the Kanto region are paved, but many are not on any map, or car navigation!
Matt Glad you got there… now looking back, wasn't it fun getting there now!
oldguy It's the only way to go!!!
Rushton sir… I think you were far gone before my map… but I can not guarantee it!
JBean Hey!!! long time no see! How have you been?
EEN I have 3 types of navie (GPS) on my cell phone, and one in the car…. but they are all in Japanese, so I'm so screwed!!!
Midge answer: at any grocery store, over priced, and always lacking in flavor (here in Japan that is)
Harry my thought process map would be nothing but walls… no walk ways, just walls….
WC I like them too!!! Hat's off to Bocaj!!!
Jonko LOL!!! it took me a second to realize the swastika on Japanese maps were for shrines, not skinhead meeting spots!
Stickfodder Me too…. that's why I live in west Tokyo…. concidered the “country side” of Tokyo!
Stubble I can dig it…. and I too don't know if the spelling is correct!
Bocaj I love seeing how others draw my characters…. doodles or extreme works, it all the same to me… flattering!
Jabali Me too… but totally lost here!
machine (^U^) Yes he did!!!
SRN yes it is… I drew it from a maze I made for some kids classes a few years ago…..

I called in to work sick last week, I wasn't sick I just didn't want to go. I told them I had the swine flu, my boss called me all worried but I wasn't home. I was at the zoo. I'm sure there is a point to this story somewhere.
dotdotdot at 3:19PM, May 20, 2009
LOL! kids are little disease machines! They are dirty, infectious little creatures! Cheers!

We can create micro-organisms, biological viruses, and even bacteria... BUT WE CANT FIND A CURE FOR AIDS AND N1H1!?! The day we stop cancer will be a major improvement :/~

SWINE FLU!!!
mattchee at 9:31AM, May 20, 2009
I used to live in small town (Eurkea, CA) and there was a bit of "Your kid got my kid sick, now I'm sick, I hope you get sick, you JERK!" going around. Now living in a bigger city you just get sick. I hear the swine flu is nearby... but nothing here has shut down for it yet. I think some kids in a military school got quarantined.
Gabe Puratekuta at 9:19AM, May 20, 2009
Yikes! That flu is on tour!
armandoB at 7:19AM, May 20, 2009
damn hope you don't catch it, man
Jonko at 7:15AM, May 20, 2009
Yeah, one of my students left half way through because he was sick today... Kinda scares me! Around where I live masks are sold out. My mom went everywhere but couldn't find them! Not like I'd wear them... but still
TheMidge28 at 7:13AM, May 20, 2009
children are notorious for getting people sick!
Stickfodder at 6:51AM, May 20, 2009
I know great place you can get a great deal on a good Chemical Protective System. If something like that doesn't keep you safe nothing will.
Niccea at 5:56AM, May 20, 2009
We had 3 cases in my town. They closed down three entire school districts for a week. And, guess what? No one got sick. I know no one that caught the flu. I was a bit pissed at all the astringent measures. For example: I couldn't go to the Honor's Banquet unless I let them squirt me with hand sanatizer on entry.
houseofmuses at 5:38AM, May 20, 2009
Your question from yesterday: "but is the old penny candy still called penny candy?" In Kentucky it is, even though they're now five cents apiece. XD
houseofmuses at 5:36AM, May 20, 2009
Count on ghostrunner to be optimistic. :) We're being etxra careful in the States, too, at least I hope we are. It's hit in my area, too.
Evil Emperor Nick at 5:33AM, May 20, 2009
Well the GPS might not do you any good but at least you've got it. In the states GPS in cellphones is still not a common feature yet.
harryq at 4:21AM, May 20, 2009
I'm always sick from allergies, it doesn't make much difference.
oldguy85 at 11:34PM, May 19, 2009
Worst cold I ever got was when my neices baby sneezed on me
oldguy85 at 11:19PM, May 19, 2009
Man a dense place like Japan could really be hit hard. And yeah worst cold I ever had was when a baby sneezed on me.
TokyoRose at 11:09PM, May 19, 2009
Ew yes! I feel the same about the bus system here in BC, I saw this one fellow sneeze ALL over one of the hand rails on the bus. That is why it is good to carry a hand anitizer at all times. D:
RushtonCygnus at 11:02PM, May 19, 2009
I could care less about the swine flu or whatever they're calling it now, I only hope it doesn't effect my travel plans.
Avie at 10:52PM, May 19, 2009
Nothing wrong with being prepared ! *nods*
Anubis at 10:51PM, May 19, 2009
wheres a NBCD siuit when you need one?
ghostrunner at 10:48PM, May 19, 2009
my buddy in civil defense says we're gearing up for september being the key time. these diseases usualy go docile for about six months after the first outbreak. besides it takes 6 months to synthesize a vaccine.
