yup yup… stores everywhere in Tokyo and the surrounding area, no masks, or hand cleansing gel….

Anubis I have never tried it either… but it just seemed like the thing Melvin would do!
Warped Heck yes!!!! Now there is fading from the washing, but wow… air drying clothes makes their lifespan a lot longer!!!
Rushton (^U^) I'm the opposite… when I go home and visit my folks, and wash my clothes… I think the dryer make my clothes smell funny!
Avie (^U^)……… just don't try what you see here at home…
EEN I will let Melvin know that…. I have a surplus of clothes, so I really don't have that “Doope, I need this shirt today” moments.
Flup (^O^)
GR LOL!!! I would be too embarrassed to do such!
Matt Yes it is…. slow drawn out death!!!
Midge I just threw out my Van Halen shirt that I got in 1998-9, because the print was falling apart, but the shirt still looked new!!
Niccea I will try that one day…. before I toss out an old microwave!
armando (^U^)
Holy Sock (^U^) Where are you? in the seemingly season-less UK?
Freequrt Thanks for stopping by!!! My towels are soft and supple… frabric softener!
Stickfodder Here, my oven and microwave are the same entity…. it has a conventional oven built in… not many ovens here in Japan as well!!!
TBustah Arizona… yup, no need for any sort of heating aperatus there… I lived in Gila Bend for a couple of years, the laundry room was like an oven!
oldguy (OO) might have been the wire support in the bra…
Bocaj (^u^)
Vickie (^_^)
Gabe sadly no oven… my microwave has a convectional oven built in… but that is an other comic all together! *had to look twice at the name… changed your avatar!
machine (^U^) yes they should!!!! that would minimize any confusion!!! and might save on needless law suits!
Dawn I would not either… but I do microwave my glove inserts in the winter… nice and warm!
Jabali Thanks for dropping by!!!
Hope one and all has a kick arse weekend!!!
There will be a new Raw Fish? come Monday and an all new Dome Busta ! so check it out!!!!

That's nuts...but so smart! D: As to the other comment...nope, nobody yelled at the boob who sneezed all over the pole...in fact, no one did anything. =/ The stores over here have soapless handwash at the front on the stores now.
Flup at 2:06AM, May 23, 2009
My family has stocked up on Tamiflu O_o
machinehead at 5:28PM, May 22, 2009
That is crazy! I'm just doing the math in my head. If I buy up all our masks and gel then hop a plane to Japan will I make a profit?
Jabali at 2:57PM, May 22, 2009
Funny and sad how people react selfishly in situations like that. Its true what they say; Crisis brings out the good or bad from people.
dgriff13 at 1:00PM, May 22, 2009
wow.. is it even possible people in Japan freak out more than Americans with this stuff?
Stickfodder at 11:13AM, May 22, 2009
Hmm I should look into buying up a ton of masks over here and selling them on the net over there. Why do people keep suggesting using a wet handkerchief? That barely keeps dust out let alone stuff that's microscopic. And Anubis I'm hoping that was a joke. If not they don't offer zero protection, a wet hanky offers zero protection. If you are being serious I'm guessing maybe you're confusing a dust mask (which is only designed to help protect against dust, doesn't help with germs) with a surgical mask (which does protect against germs).
Evil Emperor Nick at 10:04AM, May 22, 2009
Can't people just make their own masks out of cloth or something?
Tedmund at 9:50AM, May 22, 2009
Dang that suks... surprised how fast those sold out :/
mattchee at 8:21AM, May 22, 2009
Supply and demand! Smart, I suppose, but a little bit sad...
Niccea at 8:18AM, May 22, 2009
My mom works at a hospital, so I always have access to that sort of stuff.
Holy Sock at 8:13AM, May 22, 2009
I cut a hole in my mask because I can't breathe through my nose...
houseofmuses at 6:15AM, May 22, 2009
They should make that illegal. :( Especilally--god forbid--if there's a real outbreak
salasvexx at 6:14AM, May 22, 2009
i have a mask ^_^
TheMidge28 at 4:22AM, May 22, 2009
this comic today is well paced and I like that you broke your egular 3-4 panel standard.
Tahn at 3:36AM, May 22, 2009
Yay! Finally caught up with you man :) What is it you do that has to do with children anyways?
slimredninja at 1:52AM, May 22, 2009
I have discovered the source of the flu and will have it on my site soon. I have some cleaning supplies i should put on Japan E-bay.
oldguy85 at 12:41AM, May 22, 2009
Try surgical supply warehouses online. Wet a bandana and use it.
TBustah at 12:13AM, May 22, 2009
Oh, Gila Bend. Yeah, I've passed by there many times on the way to Yuma. I don't beleive I've stopped there, though.
git2000_uk at 11:39PM, May 21, 2009
Supplie and demand. I guess one man's misfortune is anothers... Cash cow!!!
Anubis at 11:01PM, May 21, 2009
wet hanky over the mouth and nose. much more effective than the dust masks (that offer zero protection)
ghostrunner at 11:00PM, May 21, 2009
oh man, that bites
Avie at 10:59PM, May 21, 2009
Oh dear I hope you get what you need !
RushtonCygnus at 10:56PM, May 21, 2009
You'd think they'd just be able to slap something together to make everyday materials for a mask. If kind of freaks me out that Japanese people always wear those masks when they get sick, although it can be interpreted as considerate.
