*** correction from the last comic****
should be “wintergreen” mint instead of spearmint….
****should have put this one up before the last one… but hey, I don't even know how my head works!!!
This always happens to me… have a name plate right above my door bell, that has my name on it, and when I answer the door, I usually hear “uuuuh, gaijin….”
a couple of times I came back with “uuuuuh, Nihongin” (uuuuh, Japanese)… but my wife thinks I'm being too rude when I do that…. When in Rome….

Every time I answer the door the person on the other side usually breaks into uncontrollable laughter. Maybe I should put some pants on next time.

Great strip overall.. but my favorite bit: the translated sound effect!

Yea I personally doubt I could live up to the Japanese standards of politeness despite being very polite by American standards. I don't understand it but I've been told how you say things is just as important as what you say in this area. Maybe you could find more acceptable way to say "No, really? OMG I never noticed before!" in japanese.

hahahah !! my favorite is when people ask if you speak Japanese , and if you say you do , they still proceed to try and speek english to you

You should scream and shout "WHERE?!" of course that might just scare them off entirely.
