SAW 2008: So at some point in FF #1, Reed Richards gets into a stick-fight with Mole Man, so I took that to its logical extreme with the S7's leader, Paperbag Man.

PBM was Eric's other contribution. It's another “Weird but fairly obvious” character that we've done well with (taking it beyond the logical easy jokes.) He leads, is incompetent, has no superpowers, is kind of a jerk, and displays violent tendancies here. I was still trying to get the design down throughout this issue, How big the eyes? The pupils? The bag?

If asked, I would say that PBM's power is his leadership; the Sensational 7 needs a leader and he is incapable of following. So he leads them and nobody questions him, because he's kind of a dick. It's never been fleshed out that much, and nobody would ever ask anyway.
