Well there you have it, this chaos is but an aspect of the perfect Chaos who has taken over the dimension of Sonic Adventure 1. The various heroes of that world fled and have continued the fight against the dimension devouring Chaos.

Here we have Knuckles explaining this all, more or less, to Sonic 1's Sonic.
Yet is that all, are there other factors in play that even the heroes don't know of?
