To be honest with everyone I have not even seen a demo of Windows 7 so I cannot really vouch for the validity or instability of the product. Today, between shows, I am thinking of hitting up Best Buy to check one out if I can, but I think today's comic pretty much sums up the entire PC marketing gimmick as of late anyway.
I know that Microsoft is trying to “trend” up it's product like Mac has done over the past decade or so, but I don't really see how putting small children on t.v. with crappy slide shows and equally crappy 80's songs is going to get me, a seasoned user and design pro, to buy anything from them. It is almost as if they are say, “Even this small child can use our product, surely a retarded bastard like you can too.”
I know, that particular piece of marketing gold is probably not aimed at me or the demographic that I might represent, but still it just puts me off in a way. Of course, if I put up with the whole PC user experience in general for as long as I have Microsoft probably figures I will put up with anything, even crappy marketing.

I agree, the marketing spin for W7 has left me scratching my head. But that's nothing new for me to have to endure with Microsoft. :D
