I thought it'd be funny if XX1 took an active hand in trying to improve the couple's relationship (all of you who've ever mocked The Watcher for breaking his non-interference oath every other time he shows up in a story, see? It's difficult to be a passive observer), especially if he went to a doctor's office and picked up those stupid informational pamphlets. At this point, he's more invested in saving their marriage than they are; does he know if it's a futile effort? Is he like Rocky, stepping into the ring against Apollo Creed, knowing he doesn't have a chance, but trying his best anyway, or is his knowledge base of human emotion so shallow that he just plain doesn't know his efforts are doomed to failure? I think that's up to you, and your emotional baggage. I can't give you everything…
