“Family” in this instance is Trinidadian slang for “baby” or “sweetheart” or what-have-you. It's generally used by (often shady) men to refer to women they find attractive in a patronizing or demeaning way.
Also, in our dialect, verbs generally stay in the infinitive or as their past participle. So “what happened?” would be “what happen?” and so on.
