2. Afro (Front)

10/06/05 Let me explain about the character introduced in this comic. I hadn't started Seedy Comics yet, but I was drawing a lot, and my friend suggested a character to me, he told me to draw a stick insect with an afro and moustache and name him Borat! I did. Then after I finished the first comic, he said to me “I you're going to make another one, you should put Borat in it”, I thought I would as a special guest, and maybe bring him back on rare occasions if the series kept going, and it just took off from there. It was 2005. I hadn't heard of the Borat everyone's thinking of now, but my friend certainly had, in other words he really screwed me over, as now I was stuck with two rip-off characters. I'd already made 40-something comics when I found out the truth. Now, I don't know whether to look back at the character with regret or laughter. Never mind.
