Hey - we've just crawled under the bar and into the Top 100 Comic Book/Stories! Haven't been here since the heady days of being featured! Many thanks to all you guys for your great support!
Reminder: Oh, and if you haven't checked it out recently, don't forget to look in on the BVC Scrap Book here at DD. You never know - we might just have snuck something new in there!

Great various views of perspective and attention to detail.
SympleSymon at 9:32AM, Jan. 28, 2008
Congrats! Hope you stay there for some time, my friend...you deserve it.
DAJB at 11:29PM, Jan. 23, 2008
Stig: Could be. Although they did abduct Stan and Boo can be pretty protective of her friends. Oh look - the new page is up now ... let's go see! ;-) Space/Trevor: Thanks!
Stig Hemmer at 5:42PM, Jan. 23, 2008
I think the women in general would be happy to just scare them away. However, I would guess that Boo is curious about what these people are up to and want to talk to them... whether or not they want to talk to her.
spacehamster at 10:24AM, Jan. 22, 2008
I smell a whoopin' coming on. Nice spatial depth going on in these panels.
DAJB at 6:59AM, Jan. 22, 2008
SciFi: Yup - and he knew what he was talking about, too! JNP: Tricks up their sleeve? As if I would spring a surprise on you guys ...! ;-) Nepath: Hah - another comparison, I wouldn't have thought of! Thanks for that!
scifiwim at 6:45AM, Jan. 22, 2008
Or, as the great Gandalf so eloquently put it Fly, you fools!
JustNoPoint at 6:27AM, Jan. 22, 2008
I wonder if these guys are simple lowly scouts or if they have a few tricks up their sleeve still. I hope for the latter! Great page and set up.
Nepath at 5:13AM, Jan. 22, 2008
Hah! It's like a weird take on a scene from Braveheart! Great page
DAJB at 11:25PM, Jan. 21, 2008
jgib: Three thugs and a taxi driver, to be precise ...! Alana: Aaaw - now you've made me wish I'd put in a rabbit with big pointy teeth! JMT: It's certainly starting to look that way! SoItBegins: Uh oh, indeed ...!
jgib99 at 8:49PM, Jan. 21, 2008
Three thugs vs. A small army of women with a serious chip on their shoulders. Yeah. This looks like your classic mismatch here. Great work.
alanajoli at 8:17PM, Jan. 21, 2008
This is when it's the appropriate time to invoke Monty Python: Run away!!!!
jmt at 5:46PM, Jan. 21, 2008
These bucket heads are screwed.
SoItBegins at 3:34PM, Jan. 21, 2008
Ut-oh.
DAJB at 3:13PM, Jan. 21, 2008
Armando: Heh - I'd have left already! Lemnis: Hmmm - now there's a possibility ...! LJS/one/Rutger/Gavin: Thanks, guys.
armandoB at 2:47PM, Jan. 21, 2008
i'd be afraid too
Gavin at 2:44PM, Jan. 21, 2008
i love it when you updaet :)
Lemniskate at 1:01PM, Jan. 21, 2008
Boo in front of the gray sky, on top of a monolithic building - she reminds me of a mesopotamian commander. And the one in the pink coat is a woman, too?
one_am at 10:39AM, Jan. 21, 2008
nice work.
DAJB at 8:31AM, Jan. 21, 2008
Albone: Okay, I get the message. As soon as this story's done, you can have the tyres! Adam: Heh - they could build yet another wall? Midge: Thanks. I guess I really was just suffering from "brown-brick-fatigue", then!
albone at 8:09AM, Jan. 21, 2008
I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be so worried about WHY they all showed up, as I would be with HOW they showed up. They're fast, and it probably isn't a thing for them to run and lay the smackdown on them. And boost the tires off their ride. :P
Adam Black at 7:50AM, Jan. 21, 2008
Now, if each of those ladies has a brick in her hand...
TheMidge28 at 6:30AM, Jan. 21, 2008
Much agree with chip. The ominous feel of all these women looking out over these hooded folk with Boo a top the building like a greek statue of a god...I reminds of roman arenas where people are thrown to lions as the specatators safe and sound cheer on.
DAJB at 6:03AM, Jan. 21, 2008
cs3: Thanks. I must admit this isn't one of my favorite sequences. I think, by the time we got to this stage, I was sick of those brown walls ... Heaven only knows how Harsho coped with having to draw and colour them over and over! One thing I do like is the final panel. My art direction for this one included this line: "This panel should have the feel of a Western in which the cavalry have just spotted that every ridge and hilltop is lined with hostile Apache warriors" ... I think Harsho captured that! Imagine: Didn't we just do that in the last chapter ...? Peipei: Who's complaining? I like the way "real women" roll! ;-) Harry: Well, just in case the taxi isn't enough of a clue, these are the guys who abducted Stan in Chapter 1. At least one of them showed a certain impatience back then, so you could be in luck!
cs3ink at 5:25AM, Jan. 21, 2008
I'm not sure why, but this is one of my favorite pages to date. I really dig the underlying feel of menace & the subtle amping of tension. You guys are really good.
