Short Bus Brothel Classic 6

What can I say… This comic came from an inside joke. I was told a long time ago it was one of my best comic strips yet. I would explain how this comic came to be, but it's a long story… A very long story. I hope that you will enjoy this classic.

I'm not really looking for people to enjoy what I do. I'm not even look for a bigger fan base... I may have only a few readers, but those they read this because they want to. I know very few people that are on this web site... by few... I mean two. And they don't really post on my comic. I'm not look to please the masses. It's not about the joke... It's not about the comic... It's about style. If you can't think out of the box you'll get no where, if you don't sell out you'll get no where. I'm just doing this comic. I'm not really looking for alot of people to post. Thats their call, and if they like it... They like... If they don't they don't. And I've heard your advice before... And I know what I do isn't what you would call a comic. And this comic is very childish. But that no reason to say what you have said. If you don't like the comic... Thats fine. I didn't ask you to, as a matter of fact I didn't ask any of these people to like. Maybe they like it because of the art, maybe they like it for what it is, or maybe it's the style. But what you view to be a comic... Isn't a comic for me. I've taken the advice you have given me, and the advice of J.M.Linsner to heart... But what really matters in the end is what I want, and what my views are... If I din't have that... I would just be another person who was taught to draw.

Your art style is amazing, very orginal I must say. I've never seen anything quite like it... But that might not be saying much....Hmmm oh much of a man of the world am I? Yeah its Orginal and amazing.

If a person ever expects to go somewhere with his/her art, then it needs to appeal to a large audience. If it appeals to four or five friends who think this type of thing is funny, then hey, you've got four or five readers. An artist who writes/draws for him/herself will never go anywhere. I repeat, work on a more broader horizon, and keep your silly inside jokes in your sketchbook. Take or leave the advise.

Yeah... Sorry about the comic not being well understandable. When I did this comic, I was trying for a different kind of lettering then what I normally do.

I enjoy the style regardless of the joke being on the inside or not. However please make something that I understand next time please!

I don't know... I own alot of his stuff, and I would have to say that J.V. had to put forth alot of thought to make JtHM. But thats just what I think. I know there wasn't really a thought process to Happy Noodle Boy. But for NNY there had to be... As for the end of that comic... It got a little random, and hard to understand. I don't really understand why people say my art is like his... For one he's a bit smarter, and his out blows mine clean out of the water. He is far from my favorite artist, but he is good. I would think that I have my own inner style of art work. I'm not really trying for goth/punk/emo or whatever... It's just me. I will admit I take ideas from other to better inprove on what I am doing, but don't we all.

He puts reason behind his work yes, but I seriously doubt he puts too much thought into the stuff HNB says.

I really don't think an inside joke should stay inside. Alot of my comics come from inside joke... It the humor of it that matters, as well as the art work of it. If you can make an inside work in a comic strip setting... I have made the mistake of posting a comic that was based on an inside joke, but wasn't funny. This comic is funny to me, and thats what really matters in the end. I'm not very good with a punch line, and I'm not all that great at doing a comic strip... But it does allow me to do my art... It even allows the crazy part of me to be free. I will however agree that this comic reminds me alot of J.V's work. At the time I was trying to have that kind of humor. Maybe even that type of art work, but I'm not J.V. Alot of people say that my art is a refection of J.V's... And yeah, some of it is. And this would have made a great Happy Noodle Boy comic... Even though it would have been more random... With a lot of thought. I didn't really put alot of work into this thought like I assume J.V. does. He seems to have a reason behind his ideas.

This should NOT stay on the inside. It seriously reminds me of Happy Noodle Boy. Ever read Happy Noodle Boy? Cause I could see him saying that.

Inside jokes deserve to stay within the group of friends who understand them... not on the internet. However, your lettering is very well-done.
