How Snakes Got Their Names 9
antcomics on Dec. 12, 2007
Wheeee! Pretty self explanitory.
The real saw scaled viper rubs its rough scales together and makes a funky noise to try and scare away predators/enemies. Pretty weird, but it sort of sounds like running something up and down a washboard. It's quite loud.
Oh–and I have a Russian Rat Snake at home named Vladimir.
Don't forget about the contest when the “How Snakes” series ends. Let me warn you that I only have about two more of these to post!

Vladimir? (Sounds cool.) :) I love those lumberjacks! Especially the one with the little beard on the left. =D I once almost had a garter snake...it was small and we caught it and kept it in a bucket. I even looked up what they ate! But in the end, it was no go. (But my younger brother got to hold it, so he was pleased.)

That's being resourceful... using a snake for a saw.... Can't wait for your contest... you keep saying "the contest will start when the series ends.", so WHEN will it end? (^O^)
