Chapter 3 page 17

Did you think I wasn't coming back? I'd never do that to you guys.
These past 4 weeks have been quite a challenge. Between a couple of art projects I needed to finish..my fulltime job….writing two short stories…and the topper. Starting my own website. Yes that's right..soon Souldriver will have it's own fulltime home. This was brought abut mainly because of the shutdown we experienced here at DD with out warning.
Which was incredibly frustrating because all I could think of was all the pages I've loaded up here (Though we are on Comicspace as well as Graphic Smash.) So within the next couple of weeks I hope to have it up and running. I won't be pulling it from here…but it will get posted first at my site before here. Along with that I'll be getting a store up. Where you can buy swag if you wish..shirts posters..etc. And then ultimately that's where you'll be able to purchase the printed version of our Directors Cut of SoulDriver. My plans are to redo some of the panels that you fine folks pointed out that don't work, ones that I'm not happy with and additional sketches and what not.
Lastly I'll be posting my short stories I'll be writing. If you want to check two of them I completed you can see them up on DigitalWebbing in the writers workshop forum. Two tales, The Blood Horse and Fresh Meat. I'll posting here when the sites up and ready.
For now I'd like to give a hello to any of you who found us through the BombShelter Webcomic Idol contest. From what I understand, out of 87 or so entries we made the top 10 and are now in the top 5 after round one. The idea is a reverse vote, so you vote for who you want out of the competition. So if you get involved…DON"T VOTE FOR ME!
My plans are to get another page up as quick as possible…although I'm fighting a cold. I've been burning the candle at both ends and it's caught up to me. My hopes are to be back here in a week…if not sooner. Thanks to you all for the support and friendship. It's always greatly appreciated. If you wish a comment or two would be great. See ya soon. Jim

MIdge- Thanks, man. You'll be one of the first people I get with when it's up and functional. Don't know about the hard work...I've been way to lax with updates this year. I hoe to be able to change that. Jim

Corey-No sarcasm taken, amigo. The site will take me a little while because I have no idea what I'm doing. But alot of folks have been very helpful thus far...So yeah I'm excited. There is a horror element to this tale and as time goes on it will become more prevalent. There have been hints of it. The 42, Mister Jack...(and don't think for one second this will be the last time we see Mister Rome) and as I tie up this book and we go into book two you'll see a huge change. That's not hype or bullshit...it's what I have written. As always nice to hear from you. Sysli- Yes...and no apologies needed for not checking up on me. If it had taken me any longer I'd of emailed you for sure. Originally when I had decided to do my own site I was going to pull SD from here completely. But that would be like moving out of the house you grew up in. All your friends surrounding you...I couldn't do it. You, Chip Corey, Midge, Trevor and the others have been with me since I started here. Couldn't imagine not having you guys stop by. Now hopefully you'll drop by the site once it's up and say hey. I'll still be coming by here as well. For me it'll kind of be like moving out...but still coming by to do laundry and get a home cooked meal. =) Trevor- Thanks for stoppin' by to read. Jim

To quote a good old movie I've actually seen: It's ALIVE! And oy, you really had me scared for a minute. DD wouldn't be the same without you and SD. Besides, I've been religiously commenting for ages, and it just wouldn't be the same if I had to start all over. ;P I quite like the "don't-shoot-him/back-down" handgesture in panel 4. And the eternally bloody (!) gloves. Somehow I get the feeling Marcus here should be careful what he say next. Then again, we've had that feeling for quite a few pages, so that shouldn't surprice anybody. Good to see you again Jim, and sorry I didn't ask how you were doing by the way. Been a bit busy myself, but sadly not with anything interesting. See ya' next time.

Hey... Glad to see an update! (non sarcastic)! Love the page... Information form his innards?!?!?! Got me glued!!! Good luck with the web page. I have made several web sites in the past and I have not had any time to try the "wordpress" and or "comicpress" to get my comic on it's own site... but it looks Greek to me! And really wish you the best of luck at the Webcomic Idol... even if you don't need it!!

Chip- Trust me...if they did they'd give me back. I'm all caught up and now focused on SoulDriver and getting our site up and running. Me likey!

harryq- Thanks...it's kind of hard. Because this was my first home...and all the people I've met on here. I've no plans on leaving...just more of a homebase to operate from. Thanks for the well wishes. Jim

Mucho good luck on getting anchored elsewhere!
