061-065 : Dan Hibiki? I'd hit that. ... wait a sec.

Part of what keeps any author going, I think, are the “stories that must be told.”

We all have them, no matter what form we use to try to express them - written text, comic, manga, RPG design or whatever. Even if we can't necessarily put a name to it, they're there.

I once wrote a ~120 page story just to flesh out one of my characters and what made her tick. I didn't know that was the point of the story until I got near the end of it.

In any case, somewhere in Deirdre's rambling about Afterimages and Aura Resonance and the Cardinal Gate and what-not is another one of those stories, I think.

I'm still not sure what form it will take, and I'll probably get sidetracked more than once when the comic takes a “this is too serious - time to go on a pointless subquest” path. But if there's a deeper meaning to Nineteen Eternal beyond random adventures and yet-to-be-revealed nubile weapons, then Deirdre is at the heart of it.
