756-760 : The Black Wings

Here's where I have to do the mandatory “flashback scene - ew I'm using those old sprites again yukky” comment. :)

While I only briefly touch upon the past history of Svenyip and Silhouette here, their story was the meat and milk of my book, ‘Neo-Life Eternal.’ I'd originally planned to make that a trilogy, but after finishing the first book I discovered Silhouette was my ENTIRE driving force behind that creative project. Once I'd reached the ‘resolution’ point with her, the whole project just fizzled out fifteen pages into the second book.

I may do other ‘highlights’ from Neo-Life history from time to time if it'd apply to this story (and there's certainly a lot of it). But at the same time, this tale contradicts a fair amount of “official Neo-Life canon” already.

Fortunately, most of my readers wouldn't KNOW that, so I can get away with it. :)

Yeah, on occasion they aren't too bad. But try reading through a number of the earlier pages in succession. Then you'll notice I just have them all doing the same half-dozen poses over ... and over ... and over again. They lack versatility, or I lack the creativity to embellish them. Maybe both. At least with the Namco Cross Capcom sprites you see them doing the same DOZEN poses repeatedly. That's variety. :)

Hey I don't mind these sprites so bad, cause they're all still the same bit rate. But still, niceness here.
