Yay, another page! Remember-this is a dream, but also memories. More detail will come from this scene later on and the symbolism of the butterfly will be learned. Next page is what earns this comic its teen rating. *cough* Did I mention this comic is dark? And uh…has gore? Yeah. Oh, and the tree is um…cracking because he…went down…on it. Ew. Hum de hum, hey look-butterfly! So pretty and distracting! XD

Little Swan-Wow! Good job! I was scared no one would get it-there is also hope in its symbolism. It was found nearly dying and is now healthy thanks to Nora who also represents this. We'll being this little guy a lot more and its meaning will be added to and become more clear to those who didn't get as quick as you did! :]

He landed on a tree? OW! Nice butterfly... my guess is expressing freedom from low-self esteem and from a minor and weak state, i.e the caterpillar is nowhere near as beautiful as a butterfly, can only crawl, and is much bound to earth and is very weak, also a lowly creature, possibly expressing how Carter felt as a human. A butterfly, beautiful, able to fly and be free, may not live long, but lives a better and fuller life than the caterpillar, and thus probably representing Carter's relief at dying, and his hopes of becoming something better, something more. Whether he believes he actually did or not, well... Just my opinion ^^ I may be right or wrong, it's your story :) The way you did the butterfly with the strips and then the one in the white is very clever.
