That is so sad, but survival of the fittest is a double edged sword. The fittest doesn't necessarily the strongest fighter. It means the person who wants to live the most.

Constantly choosing a literal "fight" response instead of "flight" when it comes to certain situations tends to reinforce a bad mindset, where you're the hammer and every situation is a nail. Nowadays, she'd probably be labeled "anti-social". Not the best way to foster long-term relationships and potentially longer life.
