Yup, a miniskirt and… HUGE TRACTS OF LAND – can get one pretty far.
Aaaannd… Darryl did another thing!
Detective Skye Masterson knew the case was dirty. The case? The case labelled an “open/unsolved” by the police about a dead black stripper named Irma found beaten to death in a motel that catered to those with a taste for the exotic. The exotic? Well, this is 1956 after all. And such things were talked about only in whispers and done only in secret.
But whispers have a way of being overheard. And secrets have a way of getting out. And when they do, they usually end up right on Skye Masterson's doorstep.
Especially when there's an eyewitness to it all.
An eyewitness who knew the dead stripper. An eyewitness who had a roll of film showing exactly how she got that way. An eyewitness who could testify to the dead stripper and the roll of film's connection to a rich society kid who loved the shady side of life.
A rich society kid with…A taste for Irma.
“A Taste For Irma” by Darryl Hughes. A hard boiled detective murder mystery crime thriller.

Cinder has two convincing arguments ready at all times - after all she always does her homework. 😁

Will they be able to convict her? Is anyone on a jury or sitting on the bench going to believe she's a mythological creature of vengeance and retribution?
TheDeeMan at 6:32AM, Nov. 22, 2024
So true. I think Cinder is more concerned with the latest shiny newsworthy item in front of her, and Pepper and Cruz are more concerned about stopping Mary before she can kill again, then either of them are with what happens if/when we catch her and have to put her on trial in front of a jury. Dee - Succubus writer dude.

Well, given the means Bloody Mary can use for her deeds, she's free to act a little brazenly without getting caught straight away.
