when Blood taints an emerald, only he can touch it without his hand being burned. The white lines are electricity. Blood can't hold an emerald, tainted or not, because just touching one will turn him into Black Blood. Yes, Blood and Blaze are over a hundred years old, but, by their standards, they are only in their late teens (17-19).
