The extra white in the bubbles is a sign of lack of effort, not MSpaint. And add some sort of panelling.

Do you use MSPaint? If so, I used to have the same problem. However, I fixed that by not guessing the size of the text, but just clicking to make the smallest possible text box. The box itself can be stretched to the desired size.
