Hydro Does Fan Service for the Girls

I usually don't point out underlying character motivations, preferring to leave them hidden for people to figure out later. But I don't want anyone to think this is just fan service.

Hydro isn't being quite as gallant as he appears, as he knows darn well he had alternatives.

Skully isn't being quite as innocent as she appears either.

Oh, and for anyone who wondered “Where are the cameras?”, Kim's your answer.

@Darth Xelleon: Usually the media gives the supers their songs, if they have any. Often done during special reports, and the villains often get less a song and more a musical cue to make them sound threatening. Heroes on the other hand, often get an official theme song. Villains who are very popular or well known will get a more or less 'official' theme song by their fans. Other villains may have songs written about them.

@Darth Xelleon: There might be someone with that ability but I'm not gonna turn him/her into a character. But yes, they do censor things for daytime television. Then they sell the uncensored versions separately. Supers don't have any say over the media sold, but that's part of the lifestyle. Given that most supers are loopy attention-whores, it's usually not a problem. @ecchi_kitty: Skivs powers are... interesting. Half will be revealed... the other half won't unless I do a side-comic called "The Old Adventures of Skiv" which would be an extensive origin story (in which he would still not be the driving focus... he is who is is, after all)

Don't they edit the tapes before airing, like adding mosaics or little black bars where needed? Considering how this universe works, I wouldn't be surprised if someone at the network specifically had that kind of power/talent.

@Darius Drake: You're closer to the truth than you think. Skiv's being creative. @alexdarkangel: The first time is Skully really pouring on her doe eyes. The second time is Skully really liking what she's seeing. @Mr Kaos: Heh, quite. @dragonrider: Skiv is more curious to see how far this goes. @benjin: That's Kim, she's part of management, and she's supposed to get everything on camera. The supers get a cut from all the media attention (and merchandising) they get, that's what pays their salaries. @Loud_G: They try to get as much on tape as possible as a general rule. You'll have to wait and see about the after-effects.
