The Washington Post: 2.58 million cubic feet of contaminated soil from 1940s and '50s bomb tests was dumped in a crater on a Pacific island, covered with a concrete lid, and left there since 1980, unlabelled and unguarded, with seawater free to seep in through the dirt floor of the crater.
