This is the pay-off page. This scene was not originally in the script. It was became a three page insert in the second re-write to lighten up the narrative.

The tankards are thread spools with handles added. A “froth” was added to the top with white glue. The goblets are all Barbie accessories painted as pewter or ceramic. The barrel is from a set of “barrel of monkeys ” repainted, the tap is made of cut toothpicks. I also carved drumsticks from toothpicks but they aren't visible in the final pictures. The chairs and stand for the barrel are wood, built up and pegged as they would be in real life. In the backgrounds there was a whole band of musicians in addition to the fiddler.

By the way this scene features guest stars; Fresdrul is 1940s movie actor Robert Taylor. Nadlan is Russell Crowe. Dame Elessa is Carrie-Anne Moss. Ash plays himself and the blonde drawing the ale is a Buffy figure. What other comic has such star power?
