And the moments just before dawn continue as people get ready for the new day. Now, it should be clear why it's the Nasnor archers– that's where Searsha and Larya were camped. So if this was a film the camera would have started there as the sky brightened, then the brief interplay with the archers, Orshia and Duke Darran and then a pan to catch Searsha and Larya dressing.
These sequences were fun to pose and plan. I had accompanied my wife to the National Genealogical Society convention in Richmond. She did genealogy and I toured Richmond. Along the way I visited the John Marshall house, picked up a great biography of him and some nice doll house furniture that was actually “playscale”. Dollhouses are traditionally 1/12 but a lot of stuff is oversized simply because it's easier to manage so it's closer to 1/6 which is the scale I work in. Think of it as 6 inch people versus 12 inch people. The bowl and pitcher in the last panel was from this. It's real china. Since I wanted to show the transition between the two Searsha figures and costumes what better way than to have her wash her face and get a new outfit from Larya?
So fascinating, that China... Even so, Searsh wishes someone would hurry up and invet the Bidet!! All your scenes seem like they'd be fun to set up. I remember enjoying setting up scenes in earlier years (of course these blow everything away...!) Nice to see a mother/child moment!!
Welcome. It's a composite of digital art and photography. There are also found items like the miniature porcelain wash basin and crafted like the camp stool. It's most like the production of a movie with costuming and props with shot against blue screen and then put into a digitally created background.

Coffee is a rare and expensive import from the other end of the continent.
