Star Strip page 129

More Marvel action awesomeness… wait i was channeling Stan Lee for a moment. The past two pages draw from comics I read with Beast back in the day. I always preferred X Factor to X-Men since back in the 70's and 80's there was so much angst in X-Men with Phoenix and Cyclops. The whole arc just turned me off. I had started reading Marvel comics in grab bags you'd get in the supermarket so I read everything. Then I'd truck off to the convience store (Krauzer's of 7-11) to keep up with the comics I liked. If it was choice between a handful of comics or a model kit though the model always won. Kinesthetic interaction and satisfaction of having the finished product. My wallet benefitted in HS because I had a friend who devoured comics and I could just read his cast-offs.
Kudos to Jerriehttp://www.theduckwebcomics.com/user/jerrie/ as his action scenes also influenced a lot of this combat especially Fluffy and Aura. You're saying that Aura shuld not be able to hold Fluffy down. How do you know that S.I.G. combat training doesn't include techniques to focus or increase body mass for maximum effect? Or it could just be that she's a robofemoid and the crystals allow her to accomplish that through the amplification of ambient energy or some other technobabble.

Thanks a lot for what you said about me. Really made my day to read that.

I liked X-Factor too, because I really liked the original X-Men team when they were more lighthearted (though I enjoyed the X-Men's angst-ridden years as well). Beast was always my fave. This scary looking Beast works really well as an antagonist.

And I agree about the S.I.G. combat training stuff... If a Vulcan can make you fall asleep with a shoulder massage, this totally works!! Honestly though I didn't get she was trying to hold him down - just a double knee-drop to the solar plexus!!

This is what is known as a curb-stomp!! Great action flow - I can feel the impacts!!
