In my case, I remember my life when I was little and its as vivid as if it was just yesterday. And its depressing to realize that it's actually been years since then.
Wow... you WERE ethnic looking.....
Im just joking! Im.... Just... joking! Dont cry! It was a joke! Seriously! You dont look ethnic at all....
seriously...
aww, little Tera! Nice sketch. I get sad too thinking about how I can't be an innocent wide-eyed kid anymore. All I can be is "young at heart", and I think I've already worn that out.
I miss a lot of the stuff I used to do as a child. Some of that stuff I can still do now, but it just doesn't feel the same as when you did it when you were a kid.
Here's a joke to make you feel better.
A little boy attended kindergarten classes, and every day he brought home black drawings. Black trees, black houses, black cars, black rainbows and clouds, black sun.
His parents became worried and took him to see a therapist. The therapist asked, "Why do you always color things in black? Are you sad?"
"No," replied the boy, "whenever it's my turn to get a crayon for coloring time, black is all that's left."
Feel better!
This is one of those moments where we all as a collective of readers say...
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW...
Keep your head to the sky, Tera. That "little girl" is still inside you on somedays - I love this page!
You really do write from the heart.
I had a dream I was in a giant pie! The pie was full of tastey cocunut and cream! I ate all of the pie, and then I went to sleep. I woke up later, and realized that my mom made me a tastey cocunut cream pie! Dreams really DO come true!
I have been dreaming of people I am long out of contact with lately some are even dead. I dream that they meet me at my childhood home. Must be the phase of the moon or something!
In a world where innocence is lost so quickly, I pondered if it
truly exists at all. Where does one go to find it . . . this freedom of a pure, existence amidst an age-old classroom called life who teaches that innocence is best ignored. It was when I stopped looking that I was able to "see" a world with an
abundance of innocence and I chose it for my guide. Stop for a
moment and watch nature. Listen to all that is to be heard; for , this is
the true teacher of all living things. The smell of a rose, the call of a
wolf, the sight of a bird in flight. Nature's untainted innocence is
responsible for all these things. Nature hears no voice but it's own; yet, speaks to all who will listen. A
voice as constant as a rising sun or branches swaying in the
wind . . . for these are the soft-spoken words of innocence.
WOW, reminds me of when I was a kid, I'd wake up from nightmares that I had, and instead of writing about it in a Journal, I would draw the main images that I remembered. If I could find those notebooks, I could probably do my own comic!! lol
Awww!
I miss my childhood at times too...It's a hard realization just how good we had it as kids hmmm?
Great picture...you look like you were a formidable painter even back then!
Take care Tera...have a great weekend!

Seems to me your comic is still a way to recreate what is around you, which you do beautifully.

Aww, I miss drawing my landscape but since I moved to Central Scotland and not the Highlands then you don't get a good landscape.

I once ate some charcoal, I was fifteen at the time, so I don't suppose it really counts.
