I get dressed and go to work... About 10 minutes away... I go to my desk and put down my iPod and go get coffee. Then I pull out a packet of Pop-Tarts, (strawberry or brown sugar cinnamon, whichever I'm in the mood for). I did check my Myspace page, but I deleted it yesterday... So now, I'll probably start checking you daily comic... Eventually, I'll work... Don't want to seem too anxious....
Hear Alarm, move cat, turn alarm off start to strech, move cat again, get up head down hall, get robe head to kitchen for coffee, dodge cat on stairs, back upstairs, dodge cat on stairs again,go to office/computer room feed cat read email, read comics, shower, shave and dress, off to work.
I wake up, look at the time, steal some more sleep, wake up again, get dressed, curse at the BBC news and then I try not to die in the Maryland traffic getting to work!
You guys are sick! Who wakes up early in the morning just to work out?! I mean come on! That's just, that's just wrong. You guys are in serious need of mental help, I'm talking about Hannibal Lecter degree mental help. Working out right after waking up, and some of you before work! Seriously what has this world come to, that's just un-American right there. Hell if you guys start spreading out that sickness pretty soon America will no longer be the most obese nation. Then what? We'll just let some Commie nation take over our lead, is that it? I'm so ashamed right now, I think I need a box of Krispie Kremes to curb my depression, of all the things
Someone once gave me a button that said "'Not a morning person' doesn't BEGIN to cover it!"
I'm a night owl, so I have nighttime rituals. Getting conscious and out the door to work is the closest I have to a morning routine.
depends on when i need 2 be to work, but usually incolves getting up as close as possible so i'm not late to work, getting dressed, grabbing lunch and then going
1. Wake up early.
2. Drink water.
3. Set 3 Most Important Things for today.
4. Fix my lunch for work.
5. Eat breakfast, read the newspaper, watch news.
6. Exercise (run, bike, swim, or yardwork) or meditate.
7. Shower.
8. Get ready for work.
9. Check emails and my favorite sites before I leave for the day.
Roll out of bed into shower, contemplate shaving but figure chicks dig beards and let it go. Put on pants, stumble out door and go to work. Then proceed to consume enough coffee to kill a manatee.
I would go into greater detail but I just woke up.
Whole family wakes up about 5:45am. Get showered, dressed, take medicine, drink some form of liquid, pack breakfast/lunches, drop kids off at summer camp/school. My wife drops off me at work and takes the van to work. I usually get to work about an hour early, eat breakfast, drink a Mountain Dew, get another Mountain Dew or other cola plus a coffee to drink during work. Get my work computer ready to go and then read my email and catch up on DD. :)
I don't have a routine, it's just wake up at the crack of dawn (which is horrible for me, I'm not a morning person!) get dressed, manage to get into my car, arrive at work, proceed directly to a computer, and catch up on all my comics at the Duck. Then I wait until someone tells me to do something, if that doesn't happen then it turns out to be a great day. The hot cocoa, and fig newtons sound divine, however that would require me to actually get up earlier than I'd rather, maybe for a weekend morning ritual....

Man, I wish I could tell the truth but the laughter would be unbearable. Don't let J give you a hard time about the Newtons - in biblical times God gave them to the Israelites every morning, they just called it manna back then.
Well, While home during the summer its "ugh, Have to go to work" and I stumble out amidst a pile of beer cans. At school... well, I guess it's pretty much the same.

My day starts with my Batman alarm clock going off to wake me up and steadily goes down hill from there.

I stumble in from running a screaming pair of saws all night. Make coffee. Work on comics. Check on the duckies. Shower. Pass out.

Sleep as late as possible, drink a gallon of coffee, drive to work. I can get ready in about 10 minutes... How exciting is that?
