We're now at the halfway point of Superchum's origin. And thus, the big reveal about why Superchum is different. One might say he's astonishing, or uncanny even!
You'll note I also continue my blitz of popular culture pastiche, jam packing panel after panel with a reference to something I've watched or listened to before. Thanks again for sticking with Superchum through this first month; and I promise super powers, costumes, and action in the present tense will begin soon!
I feel I should also credit wikipedia and PBS and Sunkist's website for my information on Navel Oranges. This little gag has been a part of my character's history since I first created him in 1992-ish. But for the first time ever, I finally got enough space to explain and explore the oranges. In the other 4 published origins, it's just been one panel devoted to the gag. So I actually had to do some research on oranges. Which was fun.

I must be a real nerd cause I recognized all the shows that Shmitty was flipping channels thru.

Puff: Thanks for the typo catch. That'll teach me to update in the wee hours of the morning! I really appreciate the edit help though. I've been afraid of missing typos each week.

Oooh, SuperChum sounds like it could be a really good comic! You've definitely done a great job at it so far! I plan on coming back and continually reading this story. :) Ps-- You spelled Social wrong in the first narration bubble, just incase you missed it. :0
