Whew. This week was a little rough on me (I'm still battling a cold). But I'm happy I was able to keep up with the comic. I really like this page a lot. This page in fact is the reason why I'm using the villains' get together plot in the first place. I wanted some space where I could explain Superchum's powers and what he can do physically without being contrived or forced, which is how I felt the last time I did his origin back in 2000. But now I'm really excited about everything else the villain conference is letting me do. Next issue I get to explain the reason why Baron Bad-Guy has it in for Superchum. For the first time since 1994 I will reveal the source of the Baron's villainy! And really, this is so much better because this time it won't be a throwaway panel that no one even remembers.
Oh yeah, because YOU FANS DEMANDED IT (well no, really it's because of the comments) I purposely drew the cover to the nifty handouts this time around.
Editor's note: The best thing about updating at 4:30 a.m.? You can make a MAJOR Typo and almost miss it! Luckily I caught this one. After all the time I spent in China, I feel like a doofus for mixing up names.

Yeah, I was definitely channeling the golden age Joe Shuster Superman with my layout here. I've always wanted to work that feeling into the comic and this felt like the perfect place to make a nod to those images. There's no denying what exactly Superchum is a parody of. Heck I even did my best to re-create the "super" lettering in my logo. Which was a crazy adventure in itself. Turns out it's just Arial Black, with some little tweaks. But it took a lot of web surfing to find that out. I felt like a doofus when I realized how simple a font they were using at DC.

Hilarious! The pamphlet with the no Superchum image! I agree with you this works very well to reveal a lot about our hero! great job in storytelling!
