13 - Fear Itself!

When you are afraid, everything seems more real some how. Every sound is amplified and your reflexes quicken exponentially. Unfortunately, when your adrenal glad is kicking in, it's hard differentiate the real from the imaginary! The sounds you hear could be a simple heater going on automatically, but in your mind it becomes a huge, indestructible monster that could crush you. And then instead of being a superman, you are cowering behind things like a vermin. Ah well, fear has it's good points and it's bad points.

Thanks a lot! We really appreciate your comments! I really like to convey as much information visually as possible because for me the appeal of comics is the pictures. Although as I wrote this comment up I was thinking that I might use it in some captions on the final version of this comic. One sub theme of this story is "Fear" (thus the title "Feet of Clay") and how different people deal with it and this is a great opportunity to talk about one aspect of it.

Very effective. And without words, too. Nice.
