Characters: Keys Leyland

The ties between Keys and the infamous Church of Progression are perhaps deeper than they might appear. Go back and check the last panel. You might spot a gentleman in a long dark coat, his eyesight drawn to a logo that is marked upon the arch of Leyland's manor.
A connection perhaps?

How did you do that? I didn't even SEE that guy in the overcoat the first time I looked at the previous page; then you said to go back and look and *bam* he's there ... is there some sort of post-hypnotic suggestion on that page? *don't see the man in the long overcoat ... don't see the man in the long overcoat ...* that cannot be shaken off until we get the reversal suggestion from you?? ;-)

His Church-powered monocle apparently doesn't give him the sense to realize his wife is Smokin' Hot.

Thanks DJAB, yeah, I was kind of thinking that. I've already got the forum, the content is actually in both my two books: Akas the Bloodless and Fate's Hand (FH being the inspiration for the comic) even though Talon is in Akas. I suppose I could always blog some excerpts.

Interesting background info. As for the Forum, if you have the material ready, you could put it there but it's probably not worth spending lots of time making new content. I do have a Forum for Shades but it's not very active and to be honest, I very seldom visit other people's. (So I can't complain!)

Here's a question for you, would you be interested if I posted up something in the Wyrden forums that's part of the first book or so on? Thanks Steely. I like doing things like this, they're part and parcel of one of my jobs as a RPG designer/writer so they're a love of mine. As a bit of a reveal: the Church of Progression employs a specific kind of combination of technology and magic they call: tech-magis, it's rumoured Leyland's monocle is one of those such items.

Hmm, a special church-powered monocle? Sounds interesting. I enjoy these little character sheets; they really help draw me into this world you're creating here.
