Prologue: Page 7 (Chapter one title)
Doctor Shadow on Jan. 29, 2008
Well, here we are! Chapter One at long last. I think Reva's totally outdone herself with the design of the Mist Reaver based on my original concept and I'm extremely pleased with it!
Actually, I personally think the whole page rocks!

Thank Gawd he's finally put some clothes on.
Doctor Shadow at 5:06AM, May 20, 2008
The Reaver is massive and it's also a tricky vessel, oh yes...very tricksy indeed. One might assume it could be much bigger on the inside than the out.

Hmm. OK, either the Mist Reaver is freakin' HUGE, or they have sacrificed space inside the cabins to make a nice, spacious hallway. Because ships - be they naval, space or air - are generally not know for their capaciousness ... I like the pictures and wall paper strips along the top of the wall. Nice little touches. Shows the desire to appear affluent.

Gorgeous! I have to leave for work, so only had a chance for a quick glance. Tomorrow when I pop in again I'll take a good close look. You won't slip any more men in black past ME!! ;-)

His ego is a thing of legend! Yeah, Reva did a fantastic job translating my original description of Sullavale Port into a nice simple, effective and accurate perspective based on the angles. Thanks!

Not only he loves running on the street naked... but he has one huge ego of owning the huge sky. By the way, the last panel's scenery is immortal.

Adam: Man I totally LOVED Talislanta, and thanks again.
Adam Black at 9:14AM, Feb. 22, 2008
I used to draw windships for the Talislanta RPG, and I can say this: the Reaver's cooler than the Tal windships.
Doctor Shadow at 5:19PM, Feb. 1, 2008
@rmmanuel: thanks! Reva will be happy to hear you like her art for the comic :)
rmmanuel at 5:10PM, Feb. 1, 2008
It's SOOO well drawn!!! + I love the storyline!!!
Doctor Shadow at 6:04AM, Jan. 31, 2008
@Steely: thanks, yep, the original design until I threw it for the novel, was to have the Mist Reaver look like a standard Galleon that could fly, this was way back. Then I caught an old cartoon: Mysterious Cities of Gold. Inspiration HIT!
Steely Gaze at 5:50AM, Jan. 31, 2008
It's shaped like a bird! Wow, didn't see that coming. Awesome page.
Doctor Shadow at 4:49AM, Jan. 31, 2008
Oh, there was a small typo that I fixed today. If you hold down shift-and refresh in your browser, you should get the proper version of the page.
Doctor Shadow at 4:48AM, Jan. 31, 2008
@DAJB - many people do, there's no other Windship on Hestonia quite like that, in design or capability.
DAJB at 12:01AM, Jan. 31, 2008
Gaah! I wants me a windship!

Doctor Shadow at 5:04PM, Jan. 30, 2008
@Dirk: thanks, you read the Prologue right?
Dirk Zephyrs at 4:54PM, Jan. 30, 2008
Good intro.
Doctor Shadow at 4:39PM, Jan. 30, 2008
@dragonrider: you're quite correct, the interior of the Mist Reaver and the Nautilus share a lot in common due to my abiding love of Steampunk.
dragonrider at 4:33PM, Jan. 30, 2008
The Mist Reaver interior reminds me of the illustrations from Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. Captain Nemo had the Nautilus furnished in overstated opulance.
