Chapter One: Page 30

I seem to remember Talon's earlier words to Silver, along the lines of: trust me, I'm never wrong about these matters. Well, Mr. Never Wrong, what're you going to do about this now eh?
Also, point of trivia note: Yes, the design of the Mist Reaver's communication's hub is indeed a variation on the Doctor's TARDIS console in the eras of Baker/Davison and Sylvester Mc'Coy.

Reitei: New and old Doctor Who, both are good :)
Reitei at 11:30AM, July 31, 2008
OH JOY, DOCTOR WHO!!! My current sci-fi obsession. Although... your probably referencing the old, old one.
Muntron at 11:58PM, May 25, 2008
Best. Eye patch. Ever.

Small state? 3 channels? Pfft - you had it GOOD - I had only ONE channel and it was a SUCKY channel at THAT! I had to walk TWO MILES to my brother's trailer where he received a 2nd channel (just barely) just so I could watch "The A-Team" (I'm telling the truth here, seriously). It was always so exciting to go to basketball tournaments (I was with the band), or something, so I could watch cable and see Monty Python.
JustNoPoint at 6:15PM, May 20, 2008
I pulled a couple of "Oh Bugger's" today myself. He seems so thrilled...
Doctor Shadow at 2:33AM, May 20, 2008
Adam: thanks! Sonusai: Oh yeah, Oh Bugger fits perfectly for this one ;) Steely: You must find an outlet for Doctor Who. I'd suggest picking up series 1,2 and 3 of the new show, it's an excellent show. Warped: thanks man!
Steely Gaze at 1:40PM, May 19, 2008
That last line is perfect! It immediately captures the entire situation in exacting detail. Oh...bugger. So simple, and yet so poignant. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it. :D Not being British, and growing up in a tiny State with access to only three television channels, I do not know Doctor Who like everyone else. How sad. :(
Sonusai at 11:56AM, May 19, 2008
"oh bugger" is certainly an interesting way phrasing the situation...
Adam Black at 10:50AM, May 19, 2008
Awesome!
Doctor Shadow at 10:29AM, May 19, 2008
Starwolf: Thanks! steak: worry not, Jon will return! amanda: Two peas in a pod, as they say! AM: Thanks, yeah, I am a huge Doctor Who fan :) Loud_G: It's a little more clunky than the Davison console, but it's as close as Reva could get it think in places.
Doctor Shadow at 10:27AM, May 19, 2008
M0rgan: Thanks. DAJB: He was indeed, I always considered him the perfect gentleman Doctor. Tim: I was born in 1969 but still remember quite a few of the old Doctor Who episodes, due to the great re-runs the BBC used to do. Midge: I'm very pleased with Reva's actual design, based on my original concept (based on the TARDIS console)
Loud_G at 9:49AM, May 19, 2008
Nice! You know I didn't make the TARDIS connection at first, but now that you mention it, it DOES indeed hark back to the good ol Davison days :)
Aurora Moon at 9:31AM, May 19, 2008
"oh bugger" indeed. And any refferences to Doctor who or even just the tardis itself gets a Five from me. :P I've been reading this for a while, keep up the good work :)
amanda at 9:21AM, May 19, 2008
A very intricate control panel - excellent job! How interesting to find out Morgan was his partner in...uh...crime?
killersteak at 8:04AM, May 19, 2008
Bring that other chap back onto the stage.
TheMidge28 at 6:37AM, May 19, 2008
hey whereever your design was inspired from it works. :)
ttyler at 6:09AM, May 19, 2008
I grew up on Pertwee as well. I remember it used to come on in the 70's on public channel 11.....but I actually stayed up to sneak some Monty Python right after Doctor Who....Ok...now I feel old.
DAJB at 5:12AM, May 19, 2008
Baker and Davison? Pfft! Pertwee's the man! (God, I can just about remember William Hartnell, too - bugger indeed!)
