Chapter Two: Page 22

One of the great things about doing this with a steampunk theme, is that I get to experiment with all sorts of technology. Reva has come up with a great version of the Mako for this splash page that gives you a glimpse at a very different style of windship.

amanda: thanks! trevora: many thanks Starwolf: cheers Warped: I agree, hopefully it'll become more popular over time. :)
Warpedwenger at 3:29PM, Aug. 18, 2008
Steampunk is such an awesome style... It should be more popular than it is overall.
amanda at 8:23AM, Aug. 18, 2008
Wow - you guys are just wildly creative! I love seeing what wonderful new devices and structures and vehicles you guys come up with - so clever. So cool!
Doctor Shadow at 8:14AM, Aug. 18, 2008
Ziffy: hey, thanks :)
Doctor Shadow at 8:13AM, Aug. 18, 2008
Adam: I think yours would be full of naked laydees! *grins* thanks man :)
Doctor Shadow at 8:12AM, Aug. 18, 2008
tim: thanks dude Steely: Heheh, yeah, we're trying to make the windships different, so that they're more interesting to the audience and to ourselves as well. Azarr: cheers.
Doctor Shadow at 8:08AM, Aug. 18, 2008
katyas, well, you've seen one of them before. Way...way...way back at the start of the comic :)
Ziffy88 at 8:00AM, Aug. 18, 2008
ooo it's gonna be fun! Nice ship design!
Adam Black at 7:29AM, Aug. 18, 2008
These boats are so cool. I can't decide which one I wish I had.
katyas at 7:06AM, Aug. 18, 2008
Now these are an interesting pair of ships ... one looks like it has the wings of a bird and the other looks like it has the fins of a SHARK ... very deadly looking!
Steely Gaze at 6:33AM, Aug. 18, 2008
Whoa, that's one strange design. That's one thing I love about this; each ship looks more unique than merely a floating hunk of metal. No mass market airships in this world! :D Also, nice segue back to the mansion. ;)
ttyler at 6:32AM, Aug. 18, 2008
Luv the ship!!
Doctor Shadow at 4:21AM, Aug. 18, 2008
Heh, thanks harry. Someone recently likened it to a hummingbird crossed with the batmobile. The inspiration for the design came more from the Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues with a bubble like viewing dome for when the vessel is submerged. The bridge can be seen at the front just before the large ramming prow.
harryq at 3:43AM, Aug. 18, 2008
Very cool design!
