Kalon, Morgan and the ladies return to Verity and the others in the corridor/front hall of Leyland's manor. Scar finds somewhat of a heroes welcome and Kalon, as always, has little time for distractions.
I absolutely love Verity's little smile/snicker on the second panel.

Small comment on the lettering (speaking as someone who knows exactly how hard balloon placement can be!) ... In the final panel, it might have been an idea to position the first balloon higher, so as not to mask the cat's face. Otherwise, Verity's snickering is indeed cool and as for the daughters' attention to Scar - pfft! How soon they seem to have transferred their affections from Talon! ;-)

The bearded one lives! I was surprised, and yet also pleased, to find he decided to join the winners. I couldn't help but smile to see Scar the center of attention for once. Still, I'm with Kalon here; we don't have time to dawdle!

Yeppers Amanda. I'd so glad you recognised him:) He's actually the chap who many pages ago thought Leyland had to be a bit of a tosser for throwing Izzy over for card games! So I don't think absolute loyality to Leyland was one of his strong points!

Looks like that guard wised up enough to be helpful. Good for him! Scar looks like he thinks it was all worth it in panel 3 ^.^
