The Cull - Page 23

You can cut the tension between these two with a knife - I hope it comes across in the dialogue and the art. Clearly not a happy family…
Sorry for the late update, I was away for the last couple weeks - the next update will be on time. I've also updated most of the previous pages to make some slight changes to dialogue, fix some continuity and change the caption style (now with white borders) - the great thing about webcomics is that you can fix things as you go along.
Hope you're having a great summer!

@fllopiancrusader: Thanks! I've never read Guido Crepax, but must check him out. I tend to think of my rendering style as 'overdraw everything horribly and in the end it will hopefully look good'. I'm still developing my shading and how stark/smooth to make it from situation to situation, but I'm getting there... By the way, nice work yourself - do you use photo reference, because your lighting and anatomy in particular are stellar! @Peipei Thanks and welcome to the fold! I'm afraid I don't update very frequently (currently bi-weekly), I have a busy day job and my pages take a lot of time... I'm a bit amazed someone would recommend this on reddit - the power of the internet always amazes me. @Kim Thanks as always! The birds eye view was tough to pull off, but I somehow find those easier than worm's eye perspectives! I think you've got the HUntress Prime pretty much pegged, LOL!

I love the styling and costumes on the characters! You have a very unique and effective rendering style. In a weird way, your sensibilities remind me a bit of Guido Crepax. Her mother is magnificent!

Stumbled on this comic through reddit. This is really awesome looking so far, this will go in to the comics I must read department. :3

I know I sound like a broken record (weird how that colloquialism hangs around in the digital age) but this is just so incredibly good! The bird's-eye perspective in the bottom middle panel...wow! Anyway... Is this a cross between Marilyn Manson and Ray Marone's Mom? :)
