In the last panel, how did you come up with effect for the gravel/ dirt?

You need to have a good picture (from around 300 dpi) and then applying a bunch of filters, depending on your software. Other way is to customize a brush from a real texture (like dirt), and then add some screentone effect. I'm using Clip Studio Paint EX, maybe if you tell me what software you are using I could help you =)
