So, Kimber Lee waxes philosophically for a sec and then sees the wolf as an oppurtunity to test the abilities of the (hypothetical) entity residing inside her, but maybe she should've asked the wolf's permission first. Maybe it thought Kimber Lee was going to injure it further. Maybe it sensed the Alien presence and recoiled from it. Who knows? Wild animals are incredbly unpredictable.

Artwise, I'm still working on a way to make grass look less cludgy. Also having a bit of trouble with solid fields surround a border (see panel 4, green edges around the hair). Watercolor dries fast, and if you're so careful painting around the edges it can take too long and will dry, then when you go back over those areas to continue the fill in, the wet over dry paint will create yucky overlays. Basically, to paint a large section in watercolor, it needs to all stay wet until you finish - and I haven't figured that out. Well, they don't say watercolor is the most unforgiving paint medium for nothing, but I still really like it overall and will keep at it.

@Plymayer: indeed, probably second to when it's a mother protecting her young!

Wild animals are especially dangerous when they are wounded and scared.

@Peipei: Yeah, I've seen domesticated dogs seem to understand they were being treated, but wild animals... nah...never!
KimLuster at 5:32PM, Nov. 3, 2013
@Paul: lol yeah, she's getting plenty of practice in that area :)
Peipei at 2:09PM, Nov. 3, 2013
Oh snap! Yeah, animals can't understand when they're being helped sometimes, they just freak out whenever a human is present.

On the bright side she can now test her healing abilities on herself again... ;) OK, perhaps that wasn't that bright, all things considered.

@Banes: Yeah, unfortunately... I tried to help a Groundhog I accidentally ran over once, with comparable success to Kimber here :?

@Szyszka666: Generally, I suck at Graphics Software. I've tried photoshop both with mouse and with a tablet. I honestly don't know how some people make such gorgeous art with them. At best, I can use them to enhance colors, brightness and contrast of a scanned-in image somewhat(which I do with this comic). And I can even screw that up haha
Banes at 8:33AM, Nov. 1, 2013
That's the way animals are, unfortunately! Poor Kim!
Szyszka666 at 7:25AM, Nov. 1, 2013
And by the way! Didn't You think to use a tablet to draw? I personally use a program that's more like a symulator of a canvas than a tipical graphic program (like Photoshop) and it also has all the watercolor brushes and paper factures (among many other techniques). So i think this option would be fun to try for someone like You :)

This is the thing with animals... It's sometimes so hard to help them. When they are scared they attack :(
