@Plymayer: yeah, they say survival situations will bring out your true personality. I don't know if I believe that - I tend to think your true personality is how you act when raging emotions and drives aren't beating down on you (true scumbags will cheat you even when survival isn't in question). I've been in situations where I thought I might be mugged (or worse), and I was amazed (later) at some of the thoughts I had. Don't know if I would have acted on them, but certainly entertained them. Acting correctly in true survival situations is more a thing of 'deep character and will', imo (and don't ask me to explain what I mean by those :).

Her new attitude seems to be animal than person. Survival situations often change folks. Or perhaps bring parts of them out that normally are not seen.
