I love how rustic the setting has been thus far since Kim's been at Socoroo's. The least she owes Socorro is an explanation for where she's going, or even a favor at this point.

@Szyszka666: yeah, seems that way... but I've discovered, that sometimes when things get real low, it's sort of liberating. Like when there's no hope, there's also no fear. Weird but true. Kimber Lee may just still have a little bit of fight left ;)

@Banes: Thanks -- the Saavedra's certainly have a goodly amount of affluence. Yes, and the Infant-shield is an almost impregnable superpower, but little used due to its unwieldiness :))

@bravo1102: Yeah babies are great neutralizers. You have to be a real ass to yell at someone and make their baby cry. So you're right it is a good tactic. But also, new moms just don't like to leave little babies alone - like... ever! Double true for breast-feeding moms, which Socorro is.

Socorro brings the baby with her to have it out with Kimber? Great tactic. Playing it safe? Depending on Kimber Lee's own motherly instinct? Can't lash out at mom with baby present, even if she rips your heart out and stomps on it. And I think Socorro is looking forward to that. Tell me all your problems so I can tear you apart for what you did to me.
