Phi truly is one of those magic numbers. It is 1.618… (on to infinity, with never a repeating pattern, much like Pi). It's a ratio: Take a line of finite length and divide in two, in a particular location, where ratio of the entire line to the larger section is equal to the ratio of the larger section to the smaller section.
This creates a pattern, and when you extrapolate this into spirals, you find it EVERYWHERE in the universe. The Spirals of Shells, Spiral Galaxy Arms, the pattern of leaves and petals on plants… You'll discover the Phi ratio there…!
It's been called the Golden Number, the Divine Ratio… Google it, or buy a book about it - absolutely fascinating reading! Here's a good place to start: http://www.goldennumber.net/what-is-phi/
Not that Kimber Lee cares at the moment - I'm sure she just wants to put a Phist (see what I did there) in Socorro's face!
Thanks for Reading Everyone!

"Pink is my favourite colour, do you know what pink is? Red 27,white 65. 65 plus 27,92. 'pink' has 4 letters, 92 divided by 4, twenty-fucking-three."

Actually, Socorro might make a better Godstrain nexus than Kimber Lee does. Maybe the rest of the comic will be about her?

Socorro's right in one point, too: you can't hope to go on with unfinished business weighing you down. It's why too much multitasking just results in getting nothing done properly - a very real problem these days, if you ask me.

I've known about this Golden Section stuff and it has always fascinated me, yet I've never felt like having fully grasped it, as is so often the case with these things that seem so ludicrously simple at first and wind up as some really advanced math. It's one of the cases where God seems to give us a hint that He's always a couple of steps ahead, no matter how much we find out - the very stuff legends are made of. Thus a very suitable choice.

Because in a dream belief can be reality. :-D

@Tom: keep those thoughts...!

@El Cid: So very true that...!!
KimLuster at 6:24AM, April 12, 2016
@skreem: :)

@bravo: I agree... any 'meaning' they have is something we append to them... But... you don't have to be a mystic (I'm certainly not) to find Phi utterly fascinating (plenty of non-spiritual mathematicians and scientists do...) Fascinating stuff will always supply ammo for folks with a mystical bent (similar to how all the 'just right' numbers in the Anthropic Principle do). No matter though - Socorro certainly seems to believe rather extremely about it all ;)

If all relaty is just kim's dream than the only way Socorro can win is because Kim's making her win. I thinking true power when you have god like powers is not using them.
El Cid at 5:03AM, April 12, 2016
Getting whipped by Socorro in her own dream won't do much for her self esteem!
bravo1102 at 4:53AM, April 12, 2016
Phi is much like all the supposed meaningful numbers found in the Great Pyramid and other ancient monuments. You look for numbers and ratios and you will find them anywhere and everyw5. I find most of that PythagorIan mystical nonsense. But it makes for great characters and contrasts and conflicts.
