A couple of you guessed the mysterious figure was Jack Caleb - Kimber Lee has now encountered all whom she imbued the Godstrain upon. Every one of them seems to want the ‘ultimate power’, whatever that is, for themselves…
I love it when what I'm thinking is echoed by others. The previous page had me musing, if there was music it'd have to be that ubiquitous Straus Zarathustra intro piece everyone knows so well. I even have Jack snidely allude to it on this page: “Thus Spake Self-Evidence”! Anyway, both Bravo and Plymayer made mention of it last page! *Happy Sigh*
Continuing the Princess Bride pursuit-scene theme, and Kimber Lee herself is aware of it!!
Thanks for Reading Everyone!!

I'm sure I've seen the Princess bride but my memory of it needs jogging. I had forgotten about Jack Caleb too so this was a nice and unexpected turn of events. I feel it will lead to more trouble as the Godstrain seems to have that 'one ring' kind of a hold over all who it touches apart from dear Kimberley!

@Peipei: Yup, you pretty much have it down!!
Peipei at 9:26PM, July 4, 2016
Ahh I had a feeling it was going to be him! She's encountered everyone else including Socorro, it only makes sense that this guy would be the 'final boss' so to speak!

@Jerrie: Thanks! and lol one of these days she's gonna listen to ya and actually kill somebody!! :D
jerrie at 9:41AM, July 4, 2016
almost forgot to say kill that guy, Kim.
jerrie at 9:40AM, July 4, 2016
the whole page is terrific, but i love the last panel the best. great close up!
KimLuster at 4:52AM, July 4, 2016
@Paul: That quote rings so true...!!
KimLuster at 4:50AM, July 4, 2016
@plymayer: it's an iconic, immanently quotable movie!!
PaulEberhardt at 2:34AM, July 4, 2016
"Those who say they're trying to turn the world into a Paradise are invariably those who are going move it a little closer to a living hell." I forgot who said that, but it somehow crossed my mind.

Loved the Princess Bride.

@jgib99: Thanks!!
jgib99 at 1:16AM, July 3, 2016
Put em up, Jack!! Great page as usual.
KimLuster at 7:20PM, July 1, 2016
@El Cid: Hey Thanks, and no worries! These Bride 'nods' are just for fun (for me and any other nerdy fan of that cult classic)... My intention was for the scenes to stand on their own - no one needs to have seen the movie to (hopefull) 'get' the last several pages, and that includes the 'Game of Wits' (next page)...!
El Cid at 5:09PM, July 1, 2016
I never saw 'The Princess Bride,' at least not in its entirety, so the allegory's all going straight over my head. It's a riveting scene in its own right, though. Given what's happened to everyone else she's encountered on this spirit journey, Jack should be worried.
KimLuster at 4:31PM, July 1, 2016
@tupapayon: The Bride is strong in this one...!!
KimLuster at 4:31PM, July 1, 2016
@Banes: Thank You! Yeah, I really love pompous ebil bahstahds sometimes...!!
tupapayon at 2:31PM, July 1, 2016
How I missed you, Jack!... now prepare to die... or something...
Banes at 12:23PM, July 1, 2016
The lines are so nice and clean, here; I don't know how you pull it off with paint! And I enjoy Jack and his pomposity. Like I said before, characters thinking so differently about the Godstrain is really cool, realistic, and very human!
KimLuster at 11:07AM, July 1, 2016
@Bravo: Wallace is fantastic! I love how he played Vizzini - and yeah, there's a reason I matched Ol' Jack up with his part!
KimLuster at 11:06AM, July 1, 2016
@FC: Well I am parodying the Princess Bride - here's a link to 'the Battle of Wits' from that movie (doesn't quite add up to Gollum vs. Bilbo but it's humorous: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6TQ7ljcsjk
bravo1102 at 8:31AM, July 1, 2016
Actually I can imagine Jack Caleb being played by Wallace Shawn in a movie version of this. Same insufferable arrogance made sublimely ridiculous by that slight lisp.
bravo1102 at 8:26AM, July 1, 2016
All right get out the wine goblets and the iocane poison. Love Wallace Shawn. He really came into his own doing the Grand Nagus on ST:DS9.
fallopiancrusader at 6:33AM, July 1, 2016
Oooo I love a game of wits! Will it be a series of riddles that have profound spiritual meaning, or a winner-take-all punning contest?
