I have to say my feelings about Eli have changed over the course of his latest emergence. In the early parts of the comic he was just pure evil and getting bigger, nastier and more scary with each appearance. When he was the size of Manhattan I truly felt Kimberley and the world were done for unless she could use the power of the universe to squash him once and for all, but... maybe it's your skilful writing and the fact he looks and comes across as so much more human again now that I find myself believing his words!

Very young children can see people that molest them as more like bad monsters, more forces of nature, than actual people... It's as if Kimber Lee made Eli exactly that, a fact he's certainly aware of. He certainly wasn't a killer before... But these type are often bi-polar - I bet he says something else to really piss you off before it's done! ;)

One thing I've learnt about victims in real life is that it's rare for them to want a painful and bloody revenge on their abuser because violence is the one thing that stirs it all up again and makes them feel sick. They mostly want an explanation of some kind and a genuine apology, which is how I felt Eli was coming across last page, so I warmed to that. I think, sadly in real life it all boils down to ego. Victims feel so low afterwards that their self esteem is on the floor and the classic feelings of guilt and shame pile up, so the one decent thing an abuser can do is to tell them that the shame and guilt is all on their side and that they feel totally responsible for the event, but sadly criminals have egos too and when the weight of a crime makes them feel really bad about themselves it's too easy to convince themselves the victim was 'begging for it' thus no need for an apology which would really be an admission of guilt.

So very true! It's sad combos of empathetic behavior (pleading, promises, admissions of guilt which the perpetrator genuinely feels at the time) on one hand and threatening behavior ('how will others feel when they find out - you better not tell...', outright violence...)... all that keeps the victim off-balance. The psychology of it all can be disturbingly fascinating...

You know, the more pissed off Kimber Lee can get him, the less coordinated he'll end up being, thus it being possible for him to lose the fight even quicker. Notice I said 'quicker' because I know he's gonna go down inevitably!

Not only is he ugly (inside and out and figuratively), he's stupid. Her "scratches" obviously are capable of doing something we the reader don't know about. Perhaps take the strain away? Infect him ? Just hurt like hell (my cat does that for fun)?

I think that any fighting move Kimber Lee makes is completely useless, and she know it. You can't defeat a Demigod without spilling some blood. The final battle has begun! This is so exciting :D
