CUTE, and the form of your characters are actually very well done. If you outline each person/item (not if the person is holding/wearing the item though, as the item then becomes an extension of their body) it would be much, much easier to identify character from setting. It's a trick for black and white comics, or thin-spread coloured ones.
just a quick, thicker outline around the edges.
